BatMancini Complete BatGuide

Prospect Greg is photoshopped as Batman, standing in front of Gotham City. A Batman logo is featured, using the parody name "Batmancini".

“The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you, the dawn is coming.”

Harvey Dent’s quote might be the best way to summarize moviegoing over the last two years. The Batman, premiering March 3rd at the Prospector, is the Bat-signal in the sky that movie theaters have been hoping for since 2020. The Bat is back - and quite arguably, better than ever.

As we prepare for the next chapter in the Bruce Wayne saga, I’ve tapped Prospect Bat-expert, Greg Mancini, to help us prepare for the Dark Knight’s arrival. Nicknamed “Batmancini”, Greg might know more about Batman than Alfred Pennyworth. He’s here to bring you up to speed and tell you all a-bat the Caped Crusader.

Greg - sorry, Batmancini - what are your favorite Batman movies? What should we watch to prepare for The Batman?

“My #1 is The Dark Knight. I like Joker and Batman in this one. The battle between Batman and Joker is good. I liked Aaron Eckhart as Two Face and Morgan Freeman was great too.

My #2 is Batman Begins. I like the Scarecrow, Batman, and Katie Holmes as Rachel. The end scene is my favorite when he rides on his motorcycle.

Batman Returns is #3. I love Danny Devito as Penguin, Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman, and Michael Keaton as Batman. They have good chemistry.

My #4 is Batman Forever. I love Nicole Kidman, Val Kilmer, Chris O'Donnell, and Jim Carey. Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face is awesome.

My least favorite is #5 Batman & Robin. I did not like this movie. George Clooney, Uma Thurman, and Alicia Silverstone are no good in this movie.”

Batman has been played by a bunch of actors over the years. Can you rank your favorite Batman… Batmans… Batmen…?

  1. Christian Bale

  2. Michael Keaton

  3. Val Kilmer

  4. Ben Affleck

  5. Adam West

  6. Will Arnett

  7. George Clooney - not fit to be Batman

Batman is about fighting crime.  The new cast for The Batman sounds good. I am excited to see Colin Farrell as Penguin and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman. Can The Batman eliminate the evil in Gotham City?  March 4th you will find out.

Every good superhero needs a sidekick. Batman has a few. Who are some of Batman’s sidekicks and how do they help Batman fight crime?

My favorite is Robin. He’s a good partner to fight crime. Alfred is his chauffeur and helps with driving. Batgirl is good with the whip and helps out. James Gordon is chief of Gotham police. He is terrific and good with the Batphone.

There are a lot of villains in Gotham City. In The Batman, we’re going to see Catwoman and The Penguin. Can you rank Batman’s villains from most to least evil?

  1. The Penguin

  2. The Joker

  3. Poison Ivy

  4. Scarecrow

  5. Riddler

  6. Harley Quinn

  7. Bane

  8. Two Face

  9. Catwoman

  10. Mr. Freeze
