Grease Was The Word
“Summer sun somethings begun…” at The Prospector Theater! On August 9th, the community gathered to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the beloved classic, Grease.
The Star Bar turned into a 50’s diner was packed with families and friends eating delicious hamburgers, shoe string French fries, and enjoyed root beer floats while watching the Prospector Band perform oldies! They had the crowd clapping and dancing, as they primed them for the “Grease Sing a Long.”
Theater One was packed with “Pink Ladies,” one customer even carrying a fake cigarette to complete her costume, poodle skirts, and leather jackets! Prospect’s Julianna and Sam delivered a funny, welcoming usher speech, full of Grease references and laughter!
As the first song began, the audience ramped up their vocals and classics, like “Summer Nights,” “You’re the One that I Want,” and “Grease Lightning,” had people dancing and singing to the screen! The Prospector Theater’s “Grease Sing-A-Long,” was an entertaining night for all!
